Pioneer Mother Passes to Reward After Months of Suffering
Mrs. Agnes Lambert, wife of Ephraim Lambert, passed away on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the family residence south of Roosevelt. Death was due to heart disease, the deceased having suffered with stomach trouble and heart trouble for some time. Mrs. Lambert was born in Boston in 1859 and later lived at Woodland and Kamas, from which point she came to the reservation with her husband shortly after the opening of the reservation was opened to settlement.
Arrangements are being made for funeral services to be held from the Roosevelt hall at 11 o'clock on Saturday morning.

Impressive funeral Services Held for Mrs. Ephraim Lambert
Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Lambert were held from the Roosevelt hall at 11 o'clock Saturday, conducted by Bishop Ernest H. Burgess. The opening song, "Rest For the Weary Soul," was rendered by a quartet; opening prayer, Bishop D. F. Mitchell, after which the quartet sang, "My Father Knows." John J. Benson of the High Council was the first speaker and was followed by Jos. H. Lambert. The quartet sang, "I Have Read of a Beautiful City." President F. S. Musser and President Byron O. Colton were the next speakers. A few closing remarks were made by Bishop Burgess, which were followed by the closing song, "O, My Father." The closing prayer was given by Wm. Russell Todd.
Interment was in the Roosevelt city cemetery where the grave was dedicated by Roger Horrocks. The following sons of the deceased were pall bearers: Darrell Lambert, Clyde Lambert, Clarence Lambert, Glenn Lambert, J. F. Hoyt and Leo Birch. The quartet consisted of Mrs. J.P. May, Miss Lavon Smith, Bruce Calder and John E. Wiscombe.
The deceased was born at Boston, Massachusetts on September 4, 1858 and when [sic] about 1862, came to Utah where in March, 1881, she was married to Ephraim Lambert in the endowment house, passing on to her reward at 1 P.M., June 6 1928. She is survived by four sons and one daughter in addition to her husband. They are Darrell, Clyde, Clarence and Glenn Lambert and Mrs. J.F. Hoyt. The following brothers and sisters also survive her: Wm Michie of Redcliff, Mrs. Alice Lambert, Mrs. Della Horrocks, and Christie Bisel. The deceased lived at Woodland and Kamas before moving with her husband to the reservation soon after the opening. She has always been very active in church work, particularly Relief society endeavors with which she was an officer for many years.
