Mrs. Marett came to the Uintah Basin with her husband in 1905 when it was first opened to settlers and has lived here since that time. For a number of years she operated a l ittle store and the Lake Fork post office. Her husband, Ephraim Marett, passed away 12 years ago.
Surviving her are the following children: Mrs. Millie Brown of Nysa, Oregon; Mrs. Vernetta Mitchell of Duchesne; Mrs Angus Mitchell of Upalco; Mrs. Fontella Ware of Wattis, Utah; Mrs. Annona Jordan of Tooele, Utah, Mrs. Martha Mitchell of Upalco; Marvell Marett of Santa Anna, Calif.; Sterling Marett of Park City; William Marett of Springfield. Mrs. Marrett was the mother of fifteen children, six of them having died before her. She is also survived by sixty-five grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: Joseph and Ephraim Lambert of Roosevelt; Mrs. Lena Michie of Provo; Mrs. Emaline Carpenter of Park City and Mrs. Ann White of Tabiona.
