VARIANTS:
Marriage Date: Lury Snow, 15 Jan. 1828
Name of Spouse #3: Jane Hobbs
Death Date: 14 Feb 1888, 14 Mar 1889, 14 Mar 1906
NOTE: Two other wives are mentioned in the Life Story of Lucius Nelson Scovil by June Barton Bartholemew, p 5. The women's names are Emma Whaley and Elizabeth Turner. It states that little is known of either of them, however, it does give Emma's birth date. It is the opinion of the Nauvoo Lands and Records Office that these marriages were never performed. See the above record and also Our Pioneer Heritage record. At the conclusion of Lucius' mission to England (April 1847), he went to Garden Grove to pick up his family. He was appointed the agent of immigration of New Orleans. He went to Winter Quarters to make arrangements for this then he and his wife traveled to New Orleans. (Life Story, p 16) He was released from this position 13 July 1849, joined his family in Winter Quarters, and left there for Utah in June 1850. (Life Story, p 17) These dates would be consistent with the information in Our Pioneer Heritage account of Emma Whaley and Elizabeth Turner.
